Shop 'til I Drop

I'm not a huge fan of going to the malls. I don't like running around to stores and having to get in and out of the car when the weather is extremely hot/cold/rainy. I hate trying on clothes... I'm never really happy with the way the clothes fit and it just (in general) pisses me off.

But...

I loooove catalog shopping. If I get a catalog in the mail, I love flipping through it and ear-marking the pages of items that I like. For me, it is often like window shopping... Most often, I don't order things, but I can look through a catalog a good three times before I get tired of it cluttering up my house and I have to throw it away. I just remembered a catalog that my mom used to get that I love, so I just went onto the website and requested a catalog to be sent to me. Now I'll forever be on their mailing list, and I love it.

So, if I don't shop in the stores and I only fantasize about items I find in catalogs, where do I shop? I admit it: My downfall is Internet shopping.

I have my credit card and debit card numbers, expiration dates, and validation codes memorized. I can point and click my way into thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. (Well, that is, if I had thousands of dollars to spend on merchandise.)

I love getting home from work a seeing a package of new merchandise sitting on my front porch, waiting for me to peel back the lid of the box and find the treasure inside. I love the convenience of it. Nevermind that if something doesn't fit and I never return it; I probably wouldn't return it even if I'd bought it directly from the store.

Amazon.com is my vice. And Gap.com. And Victoria's Secret.com. And most of all... E-Bay. E-Bay can get me into trouble.

What about you? What is your favorite mode of spending money??

'Im soo bad about buying stuff without trying it on (Ask Mikey about the plethora of clothing that I had in my closet with the tags still on) Which is definitely one of the major reason's he didn't like going shopping with me (I'll carry something around the store for an hour and then put it back). Any way, I love catalog's, especially since Im actually a size that I can order now!

I could have written that myself! I am the same way. I hate wandering around malls and never finding anything.
My favorite shops are listed on my blog in the sidebar! :)

This post totally scares me. ;)

I can't stand catalog shopping. Unless I see/touch the item, I'm not interested. I've been known to see/touch an item in a store, then go home and order it online, but not very often. Usually I use the internet to research an item I'm interested in, read reviews, etc - then go out and buy it at a store.

But that's just me!

I, too, get entirely too many packages of internet commerce delivered to my front door. I hate navigating crowds of humanity more and more. I even thought about having my groceries delivered, but I don't trust anyone to pick out the best fruit. :)

I'd incline to online shopping and catalog stuff like you, but I've brought home so many pieces of crap that don't work that I must force myself to shop at brick-and-mortar shops so I have someplace to bring the shit back to for a refund.

I love buying stuff online....I think I do that more than any other way. I find something I like and then just order more of it....that way I know it fits...haha.

Just yesterday Mrs Nobody told me that if I buy one more thing on eBay, she'd leave me. I'm going to miss her.

I do a lot of my shopping during my lunch hour....so therefore I don't always get to try things on, but 95% of the time it does get returned if necessary. Like you on the occasion that I do buy something online, I am not very good about shipping it back if needed to be returned. I like to look at things online, but then try to find it in the store if possible. :o)

I am with you...love to look through the catalogs but not so much for clothes but household decor. It gives me lots of time to think about it. Many times I mark something and come back later and think "I am sure glad I didn't buy that"!
