Barge In for a "Bargin"

Driving to work today, I noticed this sign:

I started second-guessing myself... Is it spelled B-A-R-G-A-I-N? My instinct told me that it was, but I spell-checked before posting, just to make sure!

Was this an accident? Has anybody pointed it out to the store management? Is there some inside joke that I'm just not getting about Wednesday "Bargin" Days at the Wonder Hostess Bakery Thrift Shop?

I'm thinking that they were a bit too "thrifty" when they ordered the sign. Or at least when they hired the person who ordered it.

Since I was in the mood for stopping and taking pictures this morning on the way to work, I also found this one. Thought I'd post it, just for fun.

Like the street sign!

It's probably one of those signs that you insert the lettering yourself and the "kit" only came with a limited number of "A's". (Possible?)

Anyone who buys their cup cakes from a "thrift shop" isn't likely to notice anyway.

I hear that stale cup cakes can rot brain cells. ;)

Wow! How much did you have to pay to get a street sign named after you? I hope you got a "bargin" on it.

I think it means barging- as in the big barge sized people who are bargin' in to get the 1/2 price twinkies and ho hos...

Hmmm... well, since it does take a college degree to work at a bakery outlet store I am SURE it's just an oversight. ;)

Maybe they were just using neighborhood lingo like the hillbillies in Florissant like to use.

Just plain funny. That's all.

We should all be so lucky to find a sign after our nicknames! LoL

Maybe Webster's Dictionary officially changed the spelling to "bargin," and we just missesd the memo.
