A Picture Story
So, yesterday we all gathered at Bill's Garage 2...
...to watch the Super Bowl. For food, we decided that everyone would bring a different type of soup for a soup cook-off.
Dave and I decided on bringing a new recipe that we found: Roasted Corn and Crab Soup. It was mmm-mmmm good.
Mikey's entry wasn't quite as gourmet, yet great tasting just the same.
I lost the "Overall Best Soup" by one vote... That one vote would be Dave's. He thought it would be funnier to vote for Bill's "soup" instead. It wasn't even really a soup.
We did one of those grid football pool things. How much B.S. is it that the first and second quarters both went to the same square? Then, the wife of the guy who won the first two quarters won the third quarter. The fourth quarter went to Dr. Mike, but I think the "must be present to win" rule takes effect here, so I'm keeping his money!
The night ended with Bill and Dave doing shots of Ten High. I drove the Hummer home.
And they all lived happily ever after!

Your soup looks good...and I'm pretty sure Spouse Guy has a shirt just like Dave's.
Was this the FIRST shot where the mouth was missed? ;-) You really need to post the recipe for that soup, sounds delish!
Good thing we left when we did....we ended up with a sick, pukey baby!! Ask Mike about his Milk bath at 3am.
Brother Bill looks like he's been dribbling. I CAN NOT beleive what they did with the "garage"..... WOW!!! Can't wait to get home and check it out!!
Violet, two things:
1) You said you, "Drove the Hummer home!" heh heh
2) I voted all three votes for Mikey's Campbell soup because I thought you would win by a LAnDSLIDE!! Really. Dammit. I'll take the blame.
3) Use the $25 to get a nice gift certificate for yourself from the Limited... ;) Actually, I'm just glad "Al the rabbit guy" didn't win all 4 quarters. Sheesh.
Good times, Very good soups! My husband looks like a hoosier with that dirty sweatshirt on! He is to funny! I can not believe that Al won all that money, that was so not fair.
Oh man, roasted corn and crab soup? That sounds awesome! Our guests brought leftover biscuits--like the kind you make from a refrigerated tube only these were baked an indeterminate amount of time in the past and repackaged into ziplog baggies--and some kind of tuna marm I was afraid to try. I was like, WTF?
And hey, I've been meaning to stop by to tell you that I was thinking about you the other day. I found a quarter in the parking lot and I instantly remembered your experience and smiled to myself... then when I stooped over to pick the thing up, guess what? LOL. In my case it might've actually been frozen to the ground rather than glued, but still, I laughed. Stupid, stupid me!
Hey, cute picture story. Tell Dave that his taste in whiskey is spot-on. I loves me some Ten High.
Loved the Crab soup! (However, I'll probably never get to make it since Mike isn't a crab fan.)
Oooo! Can we get the recipe please? Or is it a big secret?
Aww! I want to drive a Hummer too!
