Another birthday...

Happy Birthday to Me!

For the next two weeks, Dave and I will only be fifteen years apart in age...

I guess it is possible that it never really goes away, but I feel like I am at a crossroads in my life right now. I am happy at my current job but faced with some difficult decisions... Do I pursue further education and a possible career shift in order to make more money and have (hopefully) more career satisfaction? Do I take a leap and try my hand at a something that I've dreamed of doing since I was a child... even though it could be wildly successful or could fizzle after I've put my heart, soul, and life into it? Do I put both of these on hold for the opportunity to start a family? Do I try to do it all?

It is hard to talk about these things, especially in specifics, because I admit that I have a lot of pride and I would hate to talk about these goals and then fall on my face trying to achieve them. But, I feel that in a lot of ways, it is "now or never..."

I guess introspection is the result of the increasing number of years each birthday brings...

I know you well enough to know that whatever you do, it will be done right.

Can you do it all though... work, school and start a family? Hmmm... that's something only you can decide. I will tell you, if I am in charge of the baby for that many hours a day, I will have to enlist the help of people like Dr. Mike. So you might want to think about that a little...

Happy Birthday, honey.

Happy Birthday!!

If you have a dream then you should go for it! Just remember that IF you did fall on your face, you have a great group of friends who would be there to pick you up!!

Love Ya,
Chris

I only had to decide if I wanted red wine or margaritas on my birthday. Let me say that if you go with margaritas you may not have to decide about the baby.....
Love your blog and happy birhday!

Everyone falls on their face, at least once or twice in their lives, that's what makes you stronger.

I have no doubt that you would succeed in whatever it is you choose. As Chris said "IF you did fall on your face, you have a great group of friends who would be there to pick you up!!"

Happy Birthday Em!

Happy, happy birthday, Violet. You can do it all at once or take it one at a time and savor the sweetness...no satisfaction without risk.

Hope you have a wonderful day! Good luck with your choices. Being at a crossroads is both exasperating and exciting... my step-grandma told me (she's 82) that she never regretted anything she did, only things she didn't do. That's absolutely no help here, but it's a good general idea.

Happy Birthday! Good luck making those decisions, and then let me know how you manage to do it!

I still want to know if your bling drawer got any additions today...

hey arthist99 -- cut it out with the "bling" references... i didn't get her jewelry and was hoping to keep her from thinking about that. ;)

Happy Birthday!!

I had to laugh at the part, "For the next two weeks, Dave and I will only be fifteen years apart in age," because I do the same thing but the other way around. My DH's birthday is in November and mine is in March, so every year I am eager for my birthday to arrive so that we're back to being only 12 years apart instead of 13. :P

Hope you enjoyed your day!

For the record, I didn't forget to wish you Happy Birthday yesterday. Well, not at first, anyway. I couldn't get into your comments during the day, then by last night...yep, I forgot. *hangs head in shame*

Hope you had a great birthday!!!

HAPPY HAPPY BELATED!!

Can you live with the "what if's"? Go from there... Doing or having it all takes work, but it can be done!
