Greatest Culinary Invention Since "Sliced Bread"

How many times have you had the fabulous idea of roasting marshmallows and making s'mores?

Simple enough, right? The problem comes when you are trying to manage two pieces of the graham cracker, the chunk of chocolate, and the gooey marshmallow. You have to smoosh them all together into one tidy little sammich. Doesn't always work that way. More than once, I've ended up with burnt fingers and a 'mallow on my foot.

Problem solved! In an ingenious solution to this age old problem, a friend figured out a way to combine the graham and the chocolate:

FUDGE STRIPED COOKIES!

Easy, breezy, beautiful! Just as tasty, with hardly any muss or fuss! I love it! I highly recommend that you try it the next time you're at a bonfire....

The elves don't lie. How about a Mallomar just right on the stick?
Professor Howdy did NOT send me.

There is something about putting it together manually. I suppose it could seem weird, but there's something about making the effort and getting the payoff... mmmmm!

By the way, it was fun watching you eat your "open faced" sammich. Although I would remind you that two cookies are better than one. ;)

I guess I'm un-American or something, but I don't really like s'mores. Not sure why, because I like all the ingredients.

I love smores - am going to have to introduce the gooey mess to the kids this summer (2 kids + Sugar = good times) or something like that!

Clever!

While out camping, I think I'd stick to the old fashioned way, just because I like that big chunk of Hershey's chocolate in there. But at home, doing s'mores over the grill, this would be the way to go!

Easy, breezy, beautiful...isn't that the tagline for Cover Girl?

How do we really know what's in those cookies?

Oooooooo, I'll have to try that.

We saw Paula Dean make s'mores with chocolate chip cookies the other day. I thought my wife was going to run to the store right then. :)

Yes, I can say that they are great...I had one the other night at Dr. Mike's party.
